Good comment David ... i love that thought.
I hadn't heard that or thought of that, but instinctively i go "yeah". God always seems to be FOR something rather than just AGAINST something - and this seems to really fit in with that thought.

I can get the CD's from the conference. I wasn't going to get it personally, although it was VERY good. Would you be interested in buying one? I think they are £3.50...

Great stuff. Gotta love NTW!
I love his desire to de-polarize Christianity. We are still living in a Greek culture rather than a Hebraic one; or at the least the remnants of it, and as a result we tend to compartmentalize everything. But you know all that, you just read the book.

I love this comment - We need a framework of how it fits together … a road map of how we get into that stuff. Spirituality and social justice should be together.

I just read Diogenes Allen's (the prof of philosophy at the School of Theology at Princeton) "Christian Belief in a Postmodern World" and one of the issue he touches on is that we as Christians should love justice. However, like most people, we don't love justice, we just hate injustice.

Loving justice propels us forward to bring justice to the earth -we become proactive. Hating injustice (although that's not a bad thing at all!) simply causes us to be reactionary, and usually we react the most when we are treated injustly, whereas if we are not personally a victim, we tend to not do much about it.

I'm glad this is beginning to change.

Rupert, I haven't read any of this yet, but have a quick question: what did you listen to, and is it available on the web?
